Privacy Policy
How this website collects, uses, and protects information, and the choices you have.
Who we are
This website is operated by Travis Lafond. Privacy contact: [Not yet provided by the site owner]. Mailing address: 13083 Charleston Ct. Chino, CA 91710.
Information we collect
- Contact form: name, email, optional phone, subject, message, topic, and preferred contact method that you type in.
- Prayer requests: the request text, optional name, category, whether it may be shown publicly, and optional contact details if you ask for personal follow-up. Prayer requests may include sensitive information such as health or religious beliefs, only if you choose to write it.
- Newsletter: your email address and the topics you choose, plus a confirmation status.
- Content view analytics (only if you allow Analytics): which devotion or insurance article was viewed, the page referrer, device type, operating system, browser language, an approximate city/region/country derived from your IP address, and a random visitor ID cookie to recognize returning browsers. Your IP address itself is not stored with the view record.
- Platform usage analytics (only if you allow Analytics): page and event measurement from the Base44 platform that hosts this site, such as the newsletter-signup and insurance-inquiry events.
- "I Prayed" button: a one-way hash of your IP address and browser user agent, used only to count one prayer per visitor per request.
- Accounts: email and password for the site owner and invited administrators only. Visitors do not need an account.
- Privacy choices: your cookie choice, selected categories, timestamp, preference version, and whether a Global Privacy Control signal was present. No name, email, or IP address is stored with these records.
Sources: directly from you, from your browser or device, and from the hosting platform.
How we use information
To respond to messages, pray for and follow up on requests you submit, send newsletters you subscribe to, understand which content is useful, keep the site secure, prevent abuse (such as rate-limiting newsletter signups), and maintain records of your privacy choices and requests.
Who receives information
Information is processed on the Base44 hosting platform, which acts as our service provider. Approximate location is looked up with the third-party service ipwho.is (your IP address is sent to it) when Analytics is allowed. If you choose to load an embedded YouTube or Vimeo video, that provider receives your IP address and browser information and may set its own cookies; those embeds stay blocked until you allow Functional content. Football schedules are retrieved from MaxPreps by our servers; no visitor information is sent. Other recipients: [Not yet provided by the site owner].
Sale or sharing of personal information
This site does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Sensitive personal information
We do not ask for sensitive personal information. The only place it could appear is free text you choose to write, mainly in prayer requests and messages. We use it only to respond to you and do not use it to infer characteristics about you.
How long we keep information
- Contact messages: Indefinitely
- Newsletter subscriptions: Until cancelled
- Prayer requests and contacts: 12 months
- Content view analytics: 30 days
- Privacy choice records: indefinitely
Cookies and similar technologies
- Strictly necessary (always on): sign-in session and security storage in your browser, and your saved privacy choice (
tl_privacy_prefsandtl_consent). Aprayedentry in local storage remembers which prayer requests you have prayed for. - Analytics (off until you allow): the
tl_visitorcookie (365 days) and Base44 platform analytics. - Functional (off until you allow): YouTube and Vimeo embedded players.
- Marketing (off): none in use. No advertising pixels, retargeting, or cross-site tracking run on this site.
You can change your choices any time with Your Privacy Choices or Cookie Settings in the footer.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing. In practice, the Marketing category stays off and cannot be turned on for that browser, even if you click Accept All. Because this site does not currently run marketing or cross-site tracking, there is nothing further to restrict. GPC does not turn off the optional Analytics or Functional choices you make yourself. Legacy "Do Not Track" browser signals are not treated as a privacy request; use the cookie choices instead.
Your browser is currently not sending a GPC signal.
Your California privacy rights
The site owner has determined that the CCPA does not currently apply to this business. We still welcome privacy requests and will handle them in good faith.
Use our privacy request form. For requests to access, delete, or correct, we verify your identity first, usually by matching details with the email you provide, and never release or delete information without that step. We aim to confirm receipt promptly and respond within 45 days. An authorized agent may submit on your behalf with your written permission.
